I am an endorsed Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years’ experience working in the health care industry. I hold specialist (master’s degree) level qualifications in vascular health and paediatrics. I am warm and empathetic, and practising in primary health care for weight management consultation.

Emma’s rewarding nursing career has taken her to many rural and remote settings across NSW and Qld since 1995. She is a registered nurse/midwife, nurse immuniser and endorsed nurse practitioner (2020). A common observation during her wide experience is the profound influence that weight plays on one’s health and wellbeing. Excess weight often causes chronic conditions and/or compounds conditions that are pre-existing-physically, psychologically, and/or socially. Emma is passionate about providing holistic care with a person-centred approach to achieve client goals. She is personable and empathetic by nature, has a fun sense of humour and is very easy to talk with. Working in rural and remote primary care has given her an aptitude of resourcefulness and excellent problem-solving skills. As a wife and mother to three teenage daughters, Emma lives the challenges in juggling home and work and very much understands the difficulties in trying to manage time and effort for some self-care. With recently relocating from SW Qld to the outskirts of Toowoomba, Qld, Emma very much looks forward to supporting you in your weight loss journey to overall health and wellbeing. I joined My Weight Loss Clinic to help others achieve their personal goal weight and work with them on their journey. I’m passionate about creating a personal plan that encompasses the whole person I have been a nurse for about 15 years and my experience has been critical care (ICU). This has allowed me to work with patients with many chronic diseases. Outside of work I enjoy cooking and currently renovating (but this may be a short lived passion depending on the hurdles thrown at me)

Jomon is one of the first Australian trained Nurse Endoscopists who completed his Masters in Nurse Practitioner Studies form University of Queensland in 2015. With his extensive knowledge in the field Gastroenterology, he is keen to help and work with individuals to achieve their personal health objectives.

Kate is a Nurse Practitioner, credentialed diabetes educator and midwife with over 29 years experience, mostly in rural and remote communities in WA. She has extensive experience partnering with adults, adolescents and children to self-manage all types of diabetes and has a special interest in weight management with diabetes. She has the lived experience of managing type 1 diabetes and the struggles of weight management. All suitable consultations with Kate are subject to a Medicare rebate.

Kath has over 30 years nursing experience and has been a Nurse Practitioner for the last 14 years, substantially working in Emergency and more recently primary health and weight management. She recognises that obesity is a complex disease that requires an individualistic person centred approach. She looks forward to working with you, offering a holistic approach to weight loss, incorporating up to date medical management as well as diet and lifestyle interventions to improve health outcomes.

Leslie Wiggins is a nurse practitioner with experience in medical nursing, theatre, and a passion in gastroenterology. She gained her Masters of Nurse Practitioner practice in 2009 and continued to become a nurse endoscopist in 2014, additionally training in the UK to teach endoscopy students skills to perform endoscopy. She is committed to ongoing self and others education and works as a tutor to novice nurse practitioners undertaking a Masters NP studies. Specialties include management of complex patients, assessments and care and upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy. My goal is to partner with my patients to take steps for better health now to stay healthy into their future All suitable consultations with Leslie are subject to a Medicare rebate.

Niki is Nurse Practitioner in chronic disease with a special interest in primary care including weight loss and management of co-morbidities. Her background is in heart failure in an advanced heart failure and cardiac transplant service. She enjoys helping people to improve their health holistically and has a supportive approach to understanding the challenges of weight loss and maintenance. Niki is committed to providing individualised patient-centred care. She is originally from Wales and now lives in Margaret River in WA and enjoys being active in the outdoors.
